Mindful Living Workshops – Choose to come off autopilot!
Join us as we explore being more consciously mindful in areas of everyday life.
We all live busy detailed lives and sometimes we can feel like we are almost addicted to our busy-ness! These workshops have been created to address areas in our lives where we often find it challenging to maintain our mindfulness.
These workshops offer you the opportunity to explore how to become more aware of your current behaviours and what is and is no longer working for you. The workshops will leave you will practical skills and strategies to work with and practice in an ongoing mindful manner to increase wellbeing.
The workshops are held on a Saturday morning and are 3 hours in length with a break for some morning tea.
The following workshops are scheduled:
CONSCIOUS COMMUNICATION FOR COUPLES: This is a workshop to address our interactions with our partners. It relates to all communication interactions and is aimed at couples who are committed towards looking to improve their communication patterns with each other so as to allow their relationships to continue to grow and thrive.

CONSCIOUS COMMUNICATION FOR EVERYDAY RELATIONSHIPS: This workshop addresses everyday relationships at work, family and children. It relates to how you communicate and assert yourself in situations and specifically around communicating your needs effectively so as to be heard. It will also address how to effectively listen and help someone when they are having difficulties without taking on the responsibility of fixing it.

MINDFUL STRESS MANAGEMENT – LEARNING TO FLEX YOUR RESILIENCY
This workshop looks at being more conscious of your stress and stress responses and why that is necessary. It develops tools and strategies to create a stress management tool box. This workshop is a fabulous way to enhance your stress management and remind you of what is working or not working for you at present. Come away with practical options and ideas.

MINDFULLY SLEEPING WELL – TAKING BACK CONTROL OF YOUR SLEEP
This workshop will help you to become aware of how you can improve the quality of your sleep and become more mindful of your options when not able to sleep. This workshop is ideal for those who would like to know more about how sleep works and how to be more relaxed and in control of managing our sleep. If you have attended a sleep program but feel you would like a refresher, then this workshop would be a good way to check in with ideas and knowledge about your sleep. You will receive information about the sleep cycle, skills and strategies to use for your specific needs and how to apply being mindful to sleep.

Conscious Parenting Workshop Series
Developed and presented by Thelma Winterbach – Psychologist, Clinical Neuro-Psychotherapist and Family Therapist
This workshop series will be presented over 5 interactive sessions of 90 minutes each.
When: Thursday evenings starting April 21st
Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Cost: $55 per session per person. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan you may be able to receive a Medicare rebate of $21.65 per session attended.

Basic Outline:
SESSION 1: Understanding brain development and developmental stages. An understanding of typical tasks, competencies and the development of morals at each stage and the importance of these. Practical ways to assist with developmental milestones and looking at impact and differences between ways girls and boys learn.
SESSION 2: Consciously identifying strengths within a child without ignoring areas that need development. How to mindfully use strengths to help build the parenting relationship. Practical examples and skills. Looking at working with areas that present as learning difficulties.
SESSION 3: Communication. How to help with emotional regulation, engaging with your child and establishing consciously enriched relationships. Looking at developing strong attachment and working with emotions. Managing social media.
SESSION 4: Sexual safety. Awareness of body image, self image, physicality and sexuality. Safety around exposure to sexually explicit materials on the internet. Alcohol and Drugs. Becoming aware of if there are differences in expectations or rules between boys and girls. Fitting this in with cultural beliefs.
